Reel Cover Grabber lets you scrub through your own video and export any frame as a JPEG to use as the cover. Instagram only offers a coarse slider for this and no way to save the frame, so getting a specific moment — before a blink, mid-gesture — is easier done here with frame-level stepping.

Questions
Which video formats work?
Whatever your browser can decode — MP4 (H.264) and WebM always work. HEVC and some MOV files from iPhones will not decode in Chrome.
What resolution is the exported frame?
The video’s native resolution. A 1080 × 1920 reel gives a 1080 × 1920 cover.
Can I use this on someone else’s video?
Only if you have the file. There is no way to fetch a video from a link — see the note on the hub page.
