Study Hub

Grades, flashcards, citations and focus timers for students and teachers.

About the Study Hub

The Study Hub is built for the two questions students actually ask — what is my GPA, and what do I need on the final to pass — plus the tools around them: flashcards you can type in seconds, a Pomodoro timer, a citation generator for four styles, and a readability checker for essays. There is also a random name picker and group maker for teachers. Flashcard decks save to your browser, so a refresh will not lose your work.

Questions

Does the GPA calculator work with my university’s scale?

It uses the standard US 4.0 scale with plus and minus grades. Institutions on a 5.0 scale, or that do not award minus grades, will not match — check the letter values against your own transcript first.

Are my flashcards saved?

Yes, to localStorage in that one browser on that one device. They survive a refresh but do not sync anywhere, and clearing site data removes them.

Can the citation generator find sources from a URL or DOI?

No — that needs an API. You enter the details and it formats them correctly in APA, MLA, Chicago or Harvard.

Does the study timer keep running if I close the tab?

No. The timer only runs while the page is open. Leave the tab open in the background and it continues.
