Find & Replace does bulk substitution across a block of text, optionally case-sensitive and optionally with regular expressions. It counts the matches before you commit, which is the check that stops a careless replace from damaging more than intended.

Questions
When should I enable regex?
When you need a pattern rather than a literal string — all numbers, all email addresses, anything between two markers. Leave it off for plain text, as characters like . and ? have special meaning in regex.
Can I reference part of the match in the replacement?
Yes, with regex enabled. Capture with parentheses and reference with $1, $2 and so on.
Does it change my original text?
No, the input box is untouched — the result is shown separately, so you can adjust and try again.
