Flashcards
Type a deck, flip through it, shuffle. Saved in your browser.
About Flashcards
Flashcards lets you type a deck in seconds — one card per line, question and answer separated by :: — then flip through it, shuffled or in order. Decks save to your browser so a refresh does not lose them. Deliberately minimal: no account, no sync, no subscription, which is the usual friction that stops people making cards at all.
How to use it
- Type your deck, one card per line as "question :: answer".
- Click Study, or Shuffle & study to randomise the order.
- Click a card to flip it, then move through with Previous and Next.
Questions
Where are my cards saved?
In localStorage, in that browser on that device. They survive refreshing and closing the tab, but do not sync anywhere and are lost if you clear site data.
Should I shuffle?
Yes, once you know the material roughly. Studying in a fixed order lets you memorise the sequence rather than the content.
Does it do spaced repetition?
No. It is a simple flip-through deck. Spaced repetition needs scheduling and per-card history, which would need an account.
Flashcards is free and runs entirely in your browser. No account, no upload, no watermark, no limit on use.
