About Image Resizer

Image Resizer crops or fits any picture to the exact dimensions each platform expects, with presets for Instagram posts and stories, X posts and headers, Facebook covers, LinkedIn banners, YouTube thumbnails and Pinterest pins. Uploading the wrong ratio means the platform crops it for you, usually badly.

How to use it

  1. Drop in an image and pick a target preset.
  2. Choose Fill to crop to the frame, or Fit to keep everything with white bars.
  3. Resize and download.

Questions

Fill or Fit?

Fill for photographs, where losing some edge is fine. Fit when nothing can be cropped — a logo, a graphic with text to the edges, a full screenshot.

What size should Instagram posts be?

1080 × 1350 for portrait, which takes the most feed space, or 1080 × 1080 square. Stories and reels are 1080 × 1920.

Why does my image look worse after uploading?

Platforms re-compress everything. Uploading at the exact target size, rather than something much larger, gives them less to mangle.

Image Resizer is free and runs entirely in your browser. No account, no upload, no watermark, no limit on use.
