About Standard Calculator
A plain four-function calculator with full keyboard support — type digits, + − * /, Enter to equals, Backspace to correct, Escape to clear. It keeps a running display of the stored value and pending operator so you can see what it is about to do, which is the part most on-screen calculators hide.
How to use it
- Click the keys, or just type — the keyboard is wired up.
- The small line above the display shows the stored number and pending operation.
- Press = or Enter for the result. AC or Escape clears everything.
Questions
Does it follow order of operations?
No. Like a physical pocket calculator it evaluates left to right as you go, so 2 + 3 × 4 gives 20, not 14. Use brackets mentally, or enter the multiplication first.
What does ± do?
Flips the sign of the number currently displayed.
What happens if I divide by zero?
It says so plainly rather than showing Infinity or NaN.
