About Grid Planner
Grid Planner shows how your next posts will look together on your profile before any of them go live. Instagram crops feed thumbnails to squares from the centre, so a portrait post that looks good on its own can lose its subject in the grid. Reorder the queue until the three-column layout works.
How to use it
- Drop in the images you plan to post, newest first — that is how the grid fills.
- Use the arrows to reorder them.
- Check the profile preview on the right, which crops exactly as Instagram does.
Questions
Why does my post look different in the grid?
Because the grid thumbnail is a centre-cropped square. A portrait image loses the top and bottom, so anything important near the edges disappears.
Does the order really matter?
For accounts where the profile is a portfolio, yes — visitors judge the grid as a whole. For most accounts, individual post quality matters far more.
Are my images uploaded?
No. They are read locally and previewed in your browser.
Grid Planner is free and runs entirely in your browser. No account, no upload, no watermark, no limit on use.
